From photographs to measurable 3D.

Turn overlapping drone, camera, or phone photographs into point clouds, textured models, elevation maps, and orthophotos. Measure, draw, and analyze the results in PhotoMetric.

01 / PhotoMetric

Build the scene, step by step.

Start with image alignment, recover the geometry, then bring the surface to life with photographic textures.

PhotoMetric — Sparse point cloud
01

Sparse point cloud

Match image features, recover camera positions and orientations, and reconstruct sparse 3D points. Bundle adjustment refines the alignment before the next stages.

PhotoMetric — Dense point cloud
02

Dense point cloud

Reconstruct detailed surfaces through multi-view dense matching and depth maps. GPU processing and adjustable resolution support the geometry needed for models and mapping products.

PhotoMetric — Triangle mesh
03

Triangle mesh

Build a connected triangular surface from the dense point cloud. This geometric model forms the foundation for applying photographic textures.

PhotoMetric — Textured 3D model
04

Textured 3D model

Project the original imagery onto the mesh, pack texture images, and build levels of detail (LOD). Explore objects and sites in realistic color from different viewpoints.

02 / DSM · DTM · DOM

Turn reconstruction into mapping products.

Create surface and terrain models, then produce orthophotos from the elevation data.

PhotoMetric — DSM · Digital surface model
05

DSM · Digital surface model

Create an elevation raster that includes buildings and vegetation. Use sparse points for a quick preview or dense points for finer products, with a configurable ground resolution.

PhotoMetric — DTM · Digital terrain model
06

DTM · Digital terrain model

Filter buildings and vegetation from the surface model to represent the underlying terrain. Adjust filter parameters for the site and use the result for terrain analysis and contours.

PhotoMetric — DOM · Orthophoto mosaic
07

DOM · Orthophoto mosaic

Generate orthophotos from a DSM or DTM at your chosen resolution. Global color balancing helps produce consistent imagery; combine DOM with DSM for 3D measurements in a map view.

03 / PhotoMetric

Go beyond the model.

Use the reconstruction for mapping, quantities, and multispectral analysis.

PhotoMetric — Measure, draw, and export
08

Measure, draw, and export

Measure points, lines, and areas on photos, point clouds, or models. Generate contours and export them to DXF; export elevation points to CSV or DXF for CAD and GIS workflows.

PhotoMetric — Stockpile and earthwork volumes
09

Stockpile and earthwork volumes

Outline a stockpile and calculate cut and fill against a fixed elevation, multiple planes, a fitted plane, or a custom reference plane. Use dense points, or sparse points when dense data is unavailable.

PhotoMetric — Multispectral indices and classification
10

Multispectral indices and classification

Bring together orthophotos processed for individual spectral bands. Define expressions such as NDVI, generate index maps, and classify by equal interval, equal area, or automatic clustering.

Ground control and quality checks

Import POS data and ground control points, calibrate cameras, and refine the solution with bundle adjustment. Review reprojection errors and POS/GCP residuals in the accuracy report. Geographic position and scale require suitable control data.

GPU processing and distributed workflows

Dense matching uses GPU parallel computation. Cluster workers can process reconstruction and mapping tasks in blocks, using shared project storage.
